The Central girls track and field team continued to post season and personal bests last week in meets at Waukon and MFL MarMac.

The April 28 Waukon Girls Indian Relays had one of the “nicer Waukon meets weather wise in quite a few years,” said coach Martha Bauder.

“Even though we try not to focus on the weather all the time during track and field season, we all know—from parents to fans to coaches and to the athletes—that weather often sets the tone for our enthusiasm for the meet. While things started pretty good, it did end up getting windy and chilly, but our girls moved through the quick meet with good competitiveness and finished up in second place as a team along with eight PRs and one season best mark,” according to Bauder.
