Teammate Makya Wood ran to 15th in that race, in a time of 17.15. Wood was also 15th in the 200 meter dash, behind the seventh place Landt.
The relays were strong too, as MFL MarMac was the runner-up in both the 4x400 and sprint medley, third in both the 4x200 and distance medley, then sixth in the 4x100.
This was the Bulldogs’ fourth outdoor meet of the season, and head coach Kylie Sandstrom said it’s been a good start.
“They are showing improvement at each and every meet. With every meet we’ve had, everybody, across the board, has improved their times,” Sandstrom said. “I look forward to seeing that more and more. We have some relays, individuals, throws, jumpers who are at a good spot.”
Sandstrom is impressed by the athletes’ competitive drive and team dynamic.
“The girls are driven by each other’s drive to be better. It’s really exciting to see them work together,” she shared.
Three meets were on the schedule this week, starting at New Hampton April 20 and Crestwood April 21. The Bulldogs will head to North Fayette Valley on April 24.
