MFL MarMac senior Devon Meyer concluded her historic high school golf career at the Class 2A state meet, held May 28 and 29 at American Legion Golf Course in Marshalltown.

Meyer shot an 87 in her first round of 18 holes, then followed that up with an 88 the following day for a combined 175. She finished 28th among 76 golfers.

Fellow Upper Iowa Conference golfer Kirsten Nuss from New Hampton led the Class 2A field with a score of 145, finishing three shots ahead of runner-up Grace Lewis from Oelwein.

2026 marked Meyer’s second time competing at the state level. She became MFL MarMac’s first girls state qualifier last year, and with her state appearance this year is only the second two-time qualifier in program history and the first girl to do so.
