Maquoketa Valley edged MFL MarMac 160 to 162 to win a boys golf triangular at Hart Ridge Golf Course on May 1. Marquette Catholic finished third with a score of 173.

Elijah Dougherty from Maquoketa Valley topped the field with a 35, and Bulldog William Miller was the runner-up with a 40. MFL MarMac teammates Jarett Hanson and Jaxon Lamborn also shot 40s, to place a respective third and fourth. Next up for the Bulldogs was Wesley Corlett in ninth place and Dayne Anderson 10th, each shooting a 42. Maddox Hanson finished the night with a 46, which was good for 13th.

That was the only meet for MFL MarMac last week, after an April 27 Upper Iowa Conference quad with South Winneshiek, New Hampton and Crestwood was postponed to May 8. In addition to that, the Bulldogs were set to golf at the UIC meet at Big Rock Country Club on May 4.
