After tough losses to Clayton Ridge, the MFL MarMac softball team closed out last week with a pair of thrilling victories over Waukon.

The Eagles came to Monona June 10, fresh off a pair of double-digit victories over Central. Their offense continued to click on all cylinders against the Bulldogs with a doubleheader sweep by scores of 11-0 and 19-7.

Clayton Ridge racked up eight hits—four for extra bases—and five walks in the opener. Their scoring was further fueled by 11 stolen bases. The Bulldogs were shut out by Karly Wille, who surrendered just three hits and a hit batter in four innings on the mound.

The Eagles piled on 19 more hits in game two, in addition to taking advantage of four walks, four hit batters and 10 stolen bases. MFL MarMac players combined for six hits and three walks.

Luckily, the Bulldogs bounced back in a doubleheader sweep of their own over Waukon on June 12.
