MFL MarMac moves on to regional final
MFLMM Girls Golf

The MFL MarMac girls golf team is headed to the next level of regionals after placing second at the Class 2A opening round meet on May 15.

Led by individual runner-up Devon Meyer, who matched the 83 from Sumner-Fredericksburg medalist Katherine Swehla, the Bulldogs shot a combined 369. Only Sumner-Fred’s 357 was better.

In addition to Meyer, MFL MarMac’s three other golfers all placed within the top 20. Hadyn Meyer was ninth after shooting a 92, then Hannah Jacobson took the 11th spot with a 96. Taylor Randall finished the meet 17th, thanks to a score of 98.

Next up for the Bulldogs is the regional final, held Wednesday, May 20, at South Hills Golf Course in Waterloo. The top two teams will advance to the state tournament, as well as the top six individuals, regardless of if they are on a qualifying team or not.
