Clayton Ridge names Fritz next middle and high school principal

The Clayton Ridge Community School District has announced that Ryan Fritz will serve as the district’s next middle and high school principal pending board finalization of materials.

Fritz has served as the Cascade Jr./Sr. High School Principal for the past seven years. He brings 15 years of leadership experience across school systems in Iowa and Arizona, along with a strong track record of improving student outcomes through data-driven instruction. He has also been involved in numerous grants and classroom initiatives, including work in STEM BEST programming and brain health.

Throughout his career, Fritz has played an active role in district strategic planning focused on strengthening student and staff leadership. He has expanded opportunities for students through innovative programming and implemented continuous improvement systems, including the SAMI model and MTSS. Additionally, he led the implementation of Fastbridge assessments for grades six through 12 and partnered with physical therapy organizations to develop an athletic training program.

“On behalf of the entire Clayton Ridge Community School District, we are excited to welcome Ryan as our next middle school/high school principal,” said FY 2027 Superintendent Jay Marley. “His proven experience in instructional leadership and continuous improvement, along with his ability to build trust, foster accountability and develop strong relationships with staff, students and families, is evident. We look forward to the positive impact he will have on our Clayton Ridge families and staff.”

This is a special opportunity to join a community with a clear commitment to student success,” Fritz shared. “I am eager to begin the process of developing strong relationships with students, staff, family and the greater community to continue improving student outcomes where they feel supported, challenged and inspired to grow.”

He also shared his excitement to begin serving the Clayton Ridge community.

“As I enter the position, I look forward to gaining insight into the school, its operations and the expectations of stakeholders,” Fritz shared. “I look forward to being visible within the school community, strengthening lines of communication and developing trust. The Clayton Ridge Community School District has achieved many great things and I look forward to celebrating those successes. Go Eagles!”

Fritz will officially begin his role with the Clayton Ridge Community School District on July 1.
