Isaac “Ike” Matthew Hanson, 25, of Monona, passed away on May 22, 2026, in a UTV accident. Isaac was born on Feb. 26, 2001, to Todd and Karla Hanson of Monona.

Ike graduated from MFL MarMac in 2019. After school, he worked for Clayton County Recycling, CJ Moyna and farmers before pursuing his dream of being a truck driver hauling livestock around the country. Rarely far from his side was Pete, his faithful Corgi, who became his constant companion and favorite co-pilot.

Isaac was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend. Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Todd and Karla Hanson of Monona; his siblings, Adam of West Branch, Emily (Dean) Woodwell of Knoxville and Ella, Abe and Eli, all of Monona. He also leaves behind his grandmothers, Helen Hanson and Doris Walz; his girlfriend, Dallas Kregel of Waukon; along with many extended family members, treasured friends and all those fortunate enough to know him.

A remembrance of Isaac will be held on June 7, from 2 to 6 p.m., at the Old Rossville Store in Rossville, with a brief eulogy at 3 p.m. Family and friends are invited to gather to share memories, stories, laughter and fellowship in honor of Ike and the life he lived so fully.
