Although stormy weather eventually cut the West Delaware Girls Invitational short on April 23, it wasn’t before the Central girls track and field team achieved eight personal records and six season best marks.

In the field events, senior Layla Embretson added another foot to her previous PR in shot put, finishing sixth with a throw of 32 feet, 10 inches. She also continued to perform well in the discus, reaching 105 feet, 8 inches for fourth place.
